My wife is simply an amazing woman. She’s an incredible mother, a loving and caring wife, and my best friend. She’s one of the strongest people I know and has a faith in God that I admire deeply. Beyond all that, she’s an incredible artist! I’m so lucky. I’m not sure why it took me so long to highlight her work on my blog, but alas… you must see her talent!
Many of my readers may know that we recently brought a new child into the world…. 2 months ago. My wife, being the amazing woman that she is… decided to take on an illustration project that demands pretty much every spare minute of her time - she’s done an amazing job so far! Many of her peers thought she was crazy for agreeing to illustrate a book with a brand new baby in the house, but that didn’t stop her - she’s nothing short of incredible.
If you have a few minutes to spare, go check out her website.

The next series we’re doing here at CCV is called Bankrupt. Pretty good timing for a financial series considering the current state of the economy. The static artwork was done by my coworker Kyle. I love how we were able to parody the board game look for this one… I think Kyle did a great job of changing things up to make it work.

This is the motion graphics that our video team put together. I’m stoked about what they were able to produce for this series, they worked it out this time around!!

Great example of our Graphics and Video team working together to produce some top notch work! Cheers fellas!

This is the final artwork for our upcoming Christmas series. Oddly enough, we are doing our Christmas series in November…. and not extending it into the month of December. The thinking behind that was actually pretty logical. The series is about getting back to the heart and simplicity of Christmas; slowing down our busy, consumer minded lives and bring it back to the birth of a Savior. We figured that if we did this series in December, it would be too late to get people to rethink the Christmas season, because most people’s Christmas season begins in November.
Also, I thought it would be fun to show a screenshot of the layers from the working file for this design. There were close to 100 layers on this one, which is probably higher than normal. I think my average layer count is in the 70’s.
